I want to say a big “thank you” to the Storments for leading us on a fun filled, exciting, and one helluva boony crashing weekend. God it was fun!!!!

We had a pretty good turnout, which even included my dad coming out from Mississippi to join us. He rode my mare “Tequila”, fell in love with her, and I have to say he thoroughly enjoyed himself. My dad is no new comer to riding the Sierras, and had so much fun blazing trail with Alvin, that Vernon even made the comment to me, Your dad is no rookie when it comes to this stuff is he?? I told him “NO”, Dad has his fair share of stories about hunting this country up here. He was riding and hunting this area before I was even born.

Day one was our true adventure day. Upon talking to other campers in the area, The trail we wanted to tackle was inaccessible. Too many trees down, Couldn’t find the trail and they had to turn around. I gave Alvin one of my looks that said…… “who Says??” And off we went. Yes we lost the trail more than once, but were able to find it again after some searching. We did a few stints of man from snowy river, Vernon cut a few small trees out of the trail and on we forged. After a few war wounds,I think we all ended up with a little something scratched or marred. Dad catching his knee on a limb and breaking it, Ron Wilson catching one on his neck and other parts of his body, he claimed he was collecting parts of trees for his next Christmas tree. Regardless of the bruises, scrapes and scratches, Everyone was having a great time….. So much laughter and joking going on. It really was fun. and Everyone hung tough.

Day two, a much milder ride, we were joined by newer members Ron and Diianna Stearns. They fell right into the swing of things and had a great time too. They ended up leading us to a very cool lunch spot overlooking the river, where we had a very leisurely lunch and gab session and headed back to camp, where once again we had one helluva meal and a great time around the campfire.

Another successful and exciting weekend on the trail, beautiful scenery, great food, lots of laughs, .No major injuries What more could you ask for?
Hope to see you on the next adventure.
