EAGLE MEADOWS
2004

This has to be a favorite of mine, Located up Highway 108, East of Sonora
in Tuolumne County, literally in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

In the following pictures, you will see the “Bennett Juniper”, which is the
largest known Juniper tree in North America, and has a fulltime caretaker
all summer long. You will see a view from what they call “Cowboy Heaven”.
We stumbled across an old log cabin, that was built around a granite boulder.
I am told that inside the cabin there fireplace is built into this boulder. My
favorite place is Called Cooper Meadow Cow Camp. When I first discovered
it, I was in awe.

You ride down into this huge meadow from Eagle peak. Ride west a
little ways, and you find these two very cool old cabins set in this meadow,
with a slow moving stream running through it. Mountains all the way
around it.

Other pictures will show you views from Eagle Peak, A couple from the
Lookout, a couple of what they call the “three chimneys” three very tall
rock formations that stick out of the top of a mountain that look like
chimneys. And many other photos.

Happy trails.
