Sunday Oct. 11th turned out to be a great day. The morning started with Witches, Jesters, Jose Cueveo, Alcohol Seeking Bum, Ole Timers & Chef Piggy sipping Barn Burners as they “Halloweened” up their trusty mounts. The weather couldn’t have been nicer. We lunched 2 hours into the ride where costumes & best dressed horse were voted on. The ride back went well until Kathy our token “Alcohol Seeking Bum” decided riding in the saddle was a bit too boring. She has trained ET to stumble when cued so she can gracefully slide out of saddle and begin neck riding. She looked like a monkey holding on to a greyhound during a race. With fluid quick movements of Chef Piggy’s dismount Kathy was gently removed from ET’s neck with a suggestion of doing her trick ride only when the group was ready to watch. The ride ended with candy, drinks, cupcakes & Awards – Best Dressed going to Donna Storment as the Wicked Witch, with Best Dressed Horse going to Caesar as Spaghetti & Meatballs and overall going to Donna & Mariah. It was a great day and many thanks to all that showed up.
